Returns the directory separator, a Latin-1 character. or backslash, i.e. '/' or '\'.

Exceptions:

DirectoryException

if the operation failed or is not supported on this platform. This includes throwing a more specific DirectoryDelegatingException (a child class of DirectoryException), should the underlying filesystem manager not be retrieved as expected.
